Weekly Photo Challenge: Change/ Macro Monday

One of my favourite flowers now is the Purple Allium.   It is so beautiful and makes for great photos. Each stage is very photogenic in itself. As I was doing  MACRO MONDAY  it  seemed to be a perfect way to share this flowers development as part of the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CHANGE.

The first time I  really saw this plant was at a friends house. She had a garden full of them. I went for a visit to take some photos of some of her beautiful plants at their best. The problem that I had was that because there was so many, it was hard to separate them to take photos.  Now I have my own, so hopefully this year they will give me something to enjoy!

EVEN WITHOUT THE FLOWERS OPEN, THEY MAKE A NICE PICTURE

THE FLOWERS HAVE FINISHED LEAVING THE SEEDS IN THE PODS NOT MATURED. WHEN THEY DO THEY WILL TURN BLACK. I LEAVE THEM ON A TIN FOIL PLATE AND LET THEM DROP NATURALLY.

THE PLANT COMES IN SEVERAL COLOURS INCLUDING A MUCH DEEPER PURPLE THAN THIS. I BOUGHT THEM AS BLUBS SO I DON’T KNOW WHETHER THE SEEDS WILL GROW FOR ME.

THANKS FOR COMING BY…..
