LILIES are such beautiful flowers.

These photos were taken at the Gratrix Lily Farm near Coldwater, Ontario.  Two summers ago, I got a new lens for my camera and started taking pictures of flowers. The lily farm is close at hand and so I had fun one afternoon loading up.

I bought a few for gifts and several for the house. Unfortunately, last summer, when I was anticipating that the lilies would be an absolutely stunning AND delightful addition to our gardens…… the Red Japanese Beetle invaded and ate holes in all the petals and pretty well killed them off right before my eyes.  My mission then became – Search and Destroy – after I got a bunch of nice close up pictures!  You can see the beetle at the bottom of the page.
