Photo Challenge: Neighbourhood

This is my entry for the  Photo Challenge: Neighbourhood.

The term neighbourhood takes on a different meaning when you are living in the country. Most of my immediate neighbours are deer, squirrels, birds and the odd assortment of bigger animals like bears, fox, coyote with a few people thrown into the mix!

In other words, nothing is close by. So…. I decided to share one of the social events that we attend.

As twilight makes an appearance, after a beautiful sunny wintery day, we drive to the local community church hall, where friends and the promise of a delicious dinner awaits us…

There are many church dinners in our area.  March, April, October and November are the months that they are typically held. We try and go to a few of the dinners as it supports the area churches and ……. I don’t have to do the dishes!

This is probably the smallest of all the halls that we go to, but the church ladies work really hard to make sure everyone is happy!
