A Word a Week Photo Challenge: Parade/2

TODAYS BLOG IS KIND OF STRETCHING THIS THEME BUT HERE IT IS.  PARADE OF VINTAGE FARM EQUIPMENT.

COUNTRY MEN OR FARMERS, LOVE THEIR TOYS. NEW EQUIPMENT IS SO ADVANCED NOW. BUT… THE VERY  OLD BECOME PROUD DISPLAY PIECES, USUALLY POSITIONED ON THE PROPERTIES CLOSE TO THE ROAD, FOR ALL TO SEE.

THE RUSTY VINTAGE EQUIPMENT TELLS A STORY OF THE PAST. UP HERE IN THIS TERRITORY, I HAVE SEEN FARMYARDS FILLED WITH OLD EQUIPMENT. DEFINITELY NOT PART OF THE HOME AND GARDEN TOUR!

IF YOU GO TO A COUNTRY AUCTION, THE OLD EQUIPMENT GETS A LOT OF ATTENTION. RUST AND ALL!  WE TEND TO HANG ONTO THE PAST MAYBE BECAUSE IT IS WHAT WE KNOW BEST AND IT BRINGS FORTH GOOD MEMORIES.

THE VINTAGE BEASTS ALSO MAKE GREAT PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES.

HERE ARE SOME RECENT PHOTOS OF MINE.

    • It is amazing how many there are, when you start looking for them. Just on this road, there are several, I hadn’t even noticed before, some peeking out of the woods.

What are your thoughts?
