Abstract images are everywhere in life. What I really like to do is to find something that is ordinary and turn it into something special.
Removing the colour definitely changes the perspective of an image because you see only the design.
The featured photo is a tree that I really loved. Is it an abstract? I think so because it so crooked that your eye picks up the design first before you see the tree. The colour version, you really see the tree first.

This is the face of a building. The bright sun overexposed the pale grey of the ledges adding another dimension that wouldn’t be there if the photo had been taken on a dull day.

I took a photo of this plant with the sun as a backlight. I like the original photo in greens but changing it into black and white gives it a different look. If you really want to go crazy, the next step is to photoshop and add some artistic filters.

Abstracts are so much fun. See Sonels Corner for more Abstract photos.
