Continued from yesterday.
Have you ever driven on ice packed roads? It isn’t fun.
A fabulous day of winter beauty was ahead of me again today. I didn’t want to spoil it by taking the main roads and getting into two way traffic on icy roads. Not only that, the backroads provide plenty of photographic inspiration.
The roads were hard packed with snow and ice, but since I was not in a rush, I stopped to take in the landscapes that some times are very bland.

I love exploring back roads. A friend and I go out once a week and the past two weeks we have explored country roads until we had no idea where we were except where we would be if we went north or south. Great fun!
Country roads are great fun because you can find surprises. I always have discovered that alot of the time it is a one time deal. You cannot always expect to come back and see the same stuff. Even farms etc look different at different times of the day or season.
