It doesn’t matter which window you look out when you are in the country. The forest and fields that surround the house are always scenic in each of the four seasons. It is the animals visiting us that really add to the whole enjoyment. Out here, we are definitely in their world!
Today, with encouragement of the DAILY PROMPT, I decided to share some of my favourite moments. I am taking the subject ‘Through the Window’ and adding another dimension. In this house windows are a two way street and usually you only have a few seconds to catch the animals on camera. Enjoy!
When the food runs out in the feeder, the animals are quick to jump up on the sill and look in the windows at us. Never would I have given them credit for that! It is the only time they do that.

YOO HOO – ANYONE HOME?

OK… FINISH THE COFFEE AND THEN BRING OUT SOME FOOD!

DID I HEAR SOMEONE SAY CHRISTMAS DINNER?
On summer evenings, this frog would hop onto the window to catch june bugs, then hop back off till the next one came along. It was fascinating to watch his routine!

I’M BACK…..
The deer love to eat some of the plants and flowers right by the house. They usually come at dusk. This one looked through the window, saw me, ran back to the others, kicked the nearest and they all ran off a short distance!

WHO IS WATCHING WHO?
This next scene turned into a story.. This cute neighbourhood cat came around, would sleep on the lawn chairs, look in the windows and check out our two cats. One day as were eating dinner, he came to the dining room door which was open with the screen closed. and ..You know where I am going with this one?
The next thing we knew, the cute neighbourhood cat knocked away the screen, and came into the house. The three cats in one huge fur ball, rolled around the floor! We finally got our intruder out and there were no injuries, but our cats hid for 4 days. I have seen the NOT so cute cat but he doesn’t come near the house now!

OK BIG BOY, COME ON OUT!
I hope you enjoyed my little stories! Thanks for stopping by…….
