The photo today is of the fabulous Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. I visited the city in the fall and what a glorious time of the year with all the fall colours on display. I grew up in Quebec so have been there many times but one can never  tire of  this very old and picturesque destination.

Choose  to stay in one of  the many  hotels or  bed and breakfasts but the best choice (at least for one night) would be the Chateau Frontenac in all its vintage glory.  It is situated in the upper city and the view is spectacular. The venicular right outside the  hotel will take you to the ancient lower city with restaurants, and shops to browse.
