Macro photography is very exciting to me. Flowers take on a completely different look than when you just stand back from it.
The way the light comes through from the back, or how the inside of the flower now opens up to share its secrets, are just several ways to observe one individual flower at a time.
To live near a lily farm is very handy. One day I got permission to photograph the lilies at their best. It was great but I spent a lot of time on the ground!
Looking forward to flower season again. You too can drop in at a nearby garden center to take photos. You have to get permission from the manager if you have a DSLR, but you can do it without, if you have a compact camera or camera phone.
What is your favourite flower?
