The brilliant flower (Coreopsis) in the photograph was done with a macro (close up)  photography lens. I spent quite a bit of time in a country church garden, trying to get just the right shot. The colours in this particular variety just pop out, red out to yellow.

There are approximately 100 varieties of Coreopsis (Tickseed), in both perennials or annuals. These are one of my favourite right now.
