The Hibiscus is a tropical plant that I really enjoy photographing. The huge blossoms come in a variety of colours and can be seen everywhere during the summer.
When I first got my macro lens, I headed out to the garden center at our local Home store. They kindly allowed me to photograph some of their amazing flowers. I came home with flowers for the garden as well. Unfortunately, the Hibiscus does not winter well here in Ontario. They have to be brought indoors to survive.
The theme site can be found at Macro Monday.
Thanks for coming by…….
I love fuchsias, love the colours in your photos.
The Fuchsias are actually Hibiscus but thanks for commenting.
You have managed perfectly well with your macro lens, lovely focus and dof.
Good beginning week to you!
Hopefully it will still be a good week although I got the name wrong on this. These are called Hibiscus not Fuchsia. Thanks for commenting.
Lovely macro’s although interestingly these do not look like the plants we call Fushia’s

Thank you very much….
Stunning hibiscus! I love the colour.
It is a pretty colour…..Thanks!
I love the first photo, I love the way it is blurred slightly in the foreground and then in focus further down the flower. Stunning 🙂
Thanks Barbara…..
