WHAT DO CANADIANS DO AFTER A BIG SNOW STORM with the WEEKEND AHEAD? Part 1
THE SUN comes out and the roads are now ploughed. Here in Ontario the highways fill up with traffic. People head to the north country from Toronto and its suburbs for winter sports.
Do you remember sliding down a snow covered hill with a pile of kids on a toboggan when you were small?
Now it is called snow tubing. It is one activity that looks easy, is lots of fun but actually can be dangerous. But does that stop anyone? Of course not!

Ah the good old days of crazy carpets and truck tire inner tubes. I remember making jumps at the botom of the hill to fly off. It was even better if we had a freezing rain storm and the track became one solid sheet of ice. On day when I go home I’m going to have to go during winter and show my husband the joys of sliding down a snowy hill!
Yes it was a lot of fun wasn’t it? Where are you from?
Its still fun! Though now I don’t get home often to play in the snow. I lived in a few different areas but mostly North Hastings county in Central Ontario. I live in Aus now.
How do you like Aus compared to Ontario? I grew up in Quebec and lived in Durham county and now Simcoe county.
A very different life. I enjoy both but I miss snow and cold weather. I have lived here for over 4 years and in the two last years, while in QLD, I have not used any heating during the winter months. The summers are so hot that even the swimming pool water is warm!
Awesome photos. It must have been great experience. In Finland we love
Walking on frozen lake.
