Daily Prompt: Weaving the Threads

*Draft a post with three parts, each unrelated to the other, but create a common thread between them by including the same item — an object, a symbol, a place — in each part.*

Todays  Daily Prompt is Weaving the Threads and I thought that  this was a really good theme and I had just the right photos to go with it.

The Good Vibes Coffee House is held every Thursday night in the church hall in Mount St. Louis. The format is an open stage. It runs 52 weeks of the year and there is a party for every occasion. There are regulars and not so regulars but each year on the anniversary Thursday, the place is packed.

The featured photo shows the fancy new guitar of Brian who is one of the coffee house favourites. He has everyone in stitches some nights with some of his comedic tunes.

The lamp sitting on the window caught my attention. It was early evening so it was still light outside.

Lu, (below) shows up each week as a totally different character and tonight it is ‘Simple Simon’. (only for 15 minutes at least). She is very imaginative and keeps everyone hopping with her sense of humour and her jokes. We just never know who she will turn up as.

Well known around this area, Lu also takes her routine to the local Seniors residence each week. She only sings on occasion, and does so under the moniker of emerging poetess, singer/songwriter…. Now this is one lady that can Weave some Threads!

If you are ever in the Mount St Louis, Ontario area on your travels, don’t forget to stop in for a visit.

Thanks for coming tonight……
